On a side note, anyone notice who the main "speakers" on these boards are? It seems to me that it's chronoct, followed by DarkHawk (who usually has a *little* more to say). After that, I'd have to say it's either Notsogr8one, as they seem a little more active than either me or Gangis, or me, or Gangis. On the other hand, when I do post, I tend to post the message with the highest word count. Largest amount of content? That's debatable. After all, quite often, what I say could be simplified to "Mouser X opens his mouth and says something that no one else cares about. It is then quickly forgotten." At least, that's what it seems to me. Then again, it doesn't help that I butt in with my own messages in a topic that's differed slightly from the listed subject. Now is a good example. I didn't want to start a new thread, so I used this one labeled "The General Discussion." However, now you're typing about programming, and learning it, and stuff like that. Then, I just butt in with my "Gee, who's the one who's keyboard happy here?" Yah, that doesn't relate to well with the topic being discussed. Sorry about that. Feel free to ignore me. I haven't gotten enough sleep in a long time, and I'm a little (actually, a lot, but I'm ignoring that fact) stressed out about a MAJOR essay I had dew today (but didn't finish. I'm going to have to turn it in late). As such, carry on with your discussion. I'm sure I'll think up some other random, pointless thing to mention later. Until then, enjoy learning a programming language! Now, in relation to that, I was learning MIPS Assembly because I want to rip PSF and USF emulated audio sets (specifically from Megaman Legends 1 & 2, MoTB, and MM 64 (MML ported to the N64)). Of course, being able to rip other things would be nice as well. Maybe, if I do ever get a rip done, I'll take requests. Until then, if there's a N64 game you want the soundtrack to, visit www.halleyscometsoftware.com/usf/. There's already a fair amount of games ripped there. And there's a request form for what games you want the soundtrack to. There's a link near the top of the page for it. Anyway, yes, I'd like to learn to program as well. However, my motivation is probably significantly different from most people. Oh well. There's my bit that actually relates to the topic at hand. Mouser X over and out.

I agree with your speaker order... thing (but then you do have more posts than I). I must say that ,though I'm new to this whole forum/project, I have really gotten into it. When I stumbled upon this site I was like yes, there's still hope for Chrono Trigger and this time it's more than just a remake (I found this site shortly after I found the CT:R site where I became deeply depressed and wished I had never found it because of it's loss ) Then I noticed the "Now Hiring" business and got somewhat excited since I've never had a chance to work on a full scale project such as this (you may be thinking of my MMX posts but there's just 2 of us working on it and it probably won't turn out as planned). I have been going into 3d modeling for a while as I finally separated from my programming path (which I need to get back into... too many parentheses) and hoped I would be good enough to make the team. I was... mwahahaha. Anyway, I love this whole thing and won't stop posting!!! P.S. I also have way too much free time. That's what Summer breaks do for you.

I don't have free time anymore. Now, I just let something else fall behind while I spend its time on other projects... In other words, like I said, I'm not doing so well in some areas because they're not recieving the time they need. And there's other areas that are recieving more time than they deserve because I'd rather be doing that than the "other stuff." You could say that posting is one of them.
Oh, and congradualtions! I assume you mean you got on the UCT2 team? That's pretty cool. Gangis once, long, long ago, asked me if I wanted to help out the project. Of course I did! However, I had other obligations, and had to turn it down. But, on a positive side, I have gotten to know Gangis pretty good. He's a great guy. Good luck with it, and hope all goes well!
As for your MMX project, yah, I figured there weren't to many people involved. Nonetheless, UCT2 has been through multiple staff changes, and has been, sometimes, only a group of 1, maybe 2, people. So, you never know. Even 1 person can make a differance. Did you see the "Nintendo ON" video? It was released shortly before E3, and lasted about 6-8 minutes, showing what Nintendo's "revolution would be. Of course, it was admitedly fake, but it was impressive. This guy (yes, one person) who put it together did it in 5 days. That's impressive. Most impressive. Anyway, even 1 person can make a difference. Good luck with your endevours. Mouser X over and out.

I remember that video!!! It made many people angry, yet others happy and it changed nations (kinda).
I know how it is with the "other stuff". I have problems when I have asignments for class that interest me much less than various video game activities and others as well. Anyways good luck with your obligations and thanks.

Oh yes, something I should have mentioned. If you're interested in Video Game music, then a really good place to visit is www.zophar.net/music.html. They have quite a list to choose from. However, to get the most up-to-date info on GSF (gameboy advance) or USF (Nintendo 64) or even PSF (Playstation) stuff, then there's sites for those as well. I already mentioned Halley's Comet Software for USF. For GSF go to www.caitsith2.net/gsf/ And for PSF you can try any one of these 3 (or all of them, as some have some while others don't) darkpulse.bandwidthmonkey.net/psf/ or www.oddigy.com/ (check near the bottom, as I recall) or www.tzone.org/~llin/psf/ (my personal favorite. It has checksums so you can make sure you have the most recent sets). And for SNES music (this would obviously include CT) go to www.snesmusic.org Great site. Really super top notch (for what they have to offer that is). If you like Genisis music, sorry, I don't know any really good sites for that, other than the zohpar.net one. If you need the programs to play these files, as always, feel free to ask. As for me, I have oodle and oodles of emulated audio on my PC. That is, I have roughly 46,000-47,000 audio files, and about 2/3rds of it is emulated audio. And about 13,000 of them are SNES files... Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the nastalgia that this can bring. Oh, and in case you're interested in NES audio files, go to disch.zophar.net and download the plugin (for Winamp) there, and also the NES files (under NSFe), as they're a little better than what Zophar.net has to offer (though Zophar.net probably has more selection). I say they're better because they include track times (mostly) and titles (again, mostly), whereas Zophar.net doesn't have that because of the limitation of the NSF format (which is why they're NSFe on the site I mentioned. They're basically NSFs with a little "extra" something on the end so you can add track times, titles, playlsits, ect.). Last thing. I hope I didn't offend anyone with my message about posting habits/order. I was simply stating a fact. If I was rude in any way, I'm really sorry. Really. That should be all. Mouser X over and out.

It's not having a high post count that bothers me. What bothers me is when that high post count is 90% filled with 1-3 word posts. I could post a reply to every message here. I usually read all of them. However, I see no reason to say something, if there's nothing to be said. And "lol!" doesn't count as something to be said, unless it strikes a thought worth sharing. For example if something someone said here made me laugh, I might reply with "LOL." However, that would almost always be followed with (see new paragraph below for coherancy purposes).
What do you call a boy with no arms and no legs hanging on a wall? What do you call a boy with no arms and no legs lying in front of a door? What do you call a boy with no arms and no legs sitting in a hole? What do you call a boy with no arms and no legs floating in the ocean?
Yes, since I was going to post a joke, I figured I might as well post a few of them. I have plenty more, if you'd like to see them.
An instance where a one word reply would be acceptable (and probably expected) would be a knock knock joke, or something similar. However, I don't have any good examples, since my best joke requires actually talking to someone for it to work. Sorry.
Anyway, that's my stance on things. Though I find it annoying, that doesn't me you can't do it. However, double posting is, in my opinion, a different matter. Unless you're trying to keep a post alive in a board that removes posts after 30 days of inactivity, or something like that. Otherwise, it would be prefered to simply edit your old post to reflect what you wanted to add.
Again, as I said, I ment no offense by this, I was simply pointing something out (though I must admit that I was looking for a reaction... but not in a bad way. If Chronoct has stopped posting because of me, then yes, I would feel quite bad about that...). Anyway, that's all I was trying to say. I believe there is such a thing as internet etiquite, even if 99% of the people out there ignore it. Just becuase they ignore it, doesn't mean I have to.
Also, one last thing. I can understand someone double posting if they're trying to stir up activity (we all know such a thing is needed around here, on occasion). For that matter, 1-6 word posts are acceptible in that instance as well. However, with a post that small, it doesn't provide much to comment on. As such, though acceptible for that purpose, it doesn't serve that purpose very well (but it can work, sometimes).
There's the ideas and "rules" I follow, more or less. Obviously, I'm not in the mainstream with these ideals, but I still feel they're important.
[P.S.] Feel free to respond to my jokes/questions. Even if it is a 1-6 word post. I put them there so people could think it over. And, if you want more, let me know. I'd be happy to oblige (so long as I have time to do so).
[EDIT] Well, I feel that a small revision is in order. Twice now, I've read some messages here, and the thought to reply with "lol" was quite apparent. As such, I suppose it is acceptable, but still annoying (though I have a greater understanding of the urge to reply with such a (in my opinion) useless post) to post such a reply. However, it is still prefered that you provide some substance, of some form (though, as stated above, I suppose it's not required).
[EDIT2] I felt this fit better down here. Mouser X over and out.

i agree, it is a bit annoying to have people who just post really short replies, but unfortunately is does come with the forums. i don't think there have been that many on here though, so it doesn't really hurt.

Geez. I forgot about those... They're probably still there. Hopefully, they're not stale by now... I'll go look...
/me searches through the Time Castle...
***hours later*** Well, I can't tell if I found them or not. You see, from what I can tell, they've actually been sitting here for about, oh, a few hundred years, or so (after all, the Time Castle follows its own guidlines for the time stream). Apparently, during that time, they uh, grew. It looks like they've, litteraly, walked away... Crap. Now I have evolved Lavos shaped cookies running around my castle. And to think, that for more than 5,000 years it's been creature free (other than the few I have for research and observation purposes).
On the positive side, I can track them. They leave a trail of crumbs everywhere they go... Hopefully, they haven't evolved to much. If I can catch them, then yes, you may have one, if you really, really want it... I shall continue my search. Mouser X over and out.
/me activates the system wide scanners, and sets it to "cookies."

Does this mean that you are going to Delete your Cookies? ;D (yea i know that was lame) yea i still want one just let me know when you find them, and i guess i'll just have to see how long it takes to eat one, if they've grown and are now walking on their own.

Hey there. I have some... questions. I checked out the gallery for Akisakura's site. They're really good drawings, but, some of the ones involving Magus and Crono are disturbing... really. I guess I don't have any questions I was just wondering what's up with that business there?

I've wondered that myself, but I just try not to think about it to much. everyone has their own preferences on how they choose to draw.
I've seen many different Anime and Games where artists draw how they like or think things ought to be.

/me is SO SLEEPY!!!! Yah, from Tuesday morning (about 11:30am) to Friday afternoon (12:00 or 12:30pm), I got about 3-5 hours of sleep (probably about 4). To say the least, I have a lot to catch up on. As for my net access, well, my PC isn't connected (they won't allow me to run a wire through the hallway, which is what I expected), but I can at least use 1 of the 7 PCs in this room to access the net. Surprisingly, none of them are 100mhz, as I first thought. Most of them are above 333mhz. However, they still have no 3D card, and they're all so close that there's only room for 2 people, so no LAN party here. Besides, 3 of the machines use the same monitor, keyboard, and mouse. That would make it difficult to play on... Other than all that, I have to look for a job (not fast food, PLEASE!) and get my schooling resituated... (I'm sure that's spelled wrong.. Dangit.) Anyway, if it makes you feel any better, I check here almost everyday... I just don't have much to say. Also, I downloaded Anim8or, and tried it out. It looks nice, but I haven't figured out how to increase, add, and alter faces of 3D objects (though I can add edges, but those don't seem to help much...). I guess that's all. Mouser X over and out.
