Yeah, I'm in the process of learning all those too. At the time, I'm best in the Gamemaker language gml I've finally mastered it but I should really improve on other things. were you using any specific resources for the "gamemaker language"?

What do you mean? If it's what I think, I primarily used the help file.

Oh yeah, I just used the help file and various examples I found on the web. I was surprised at how great the help file actually was. It's separated much better than files of the same kind for other programming languages. If you don't have the program yet you can get it here: gamemaker.nl/ I recommend version 5.0 if you aren't willing to pay like I am. You don't get any 3d support but it's a great program. It's pretty cool too since you really don't even have to learn any of the language to use Gamemaker. You do however if you want to do "fancy things". I only use code when I use it now so I feel I need to move on to C++.

age really doesn't have much to determine on how you learn. but not understanding all of it, you'll get it eventually.

The trick to learning any programming language (at least for me) is to start a project that you can't stop working on till it's finished. Like a cool game or something. Because when you do something that is as deep as that, you have to learn a lot of the little tricks to get it to function right or to make some cool graphics. It doesn't sound too good a way but it works.

Hey, do you guys need any more programmers? If you do, I have a friend that's interested in the project. He had to go on vacation so he didn't really get a chance to ask about it but he's great with C++ and many other languages. He also really likes Chrono Trigger and knows the characters well so that might help.

i'm learning that right now, but because i'm not home that much its a little hard to do a whole lot. i gett of work at 2:30pm, and usually wait around at a friends house until around 6 - 8 for my gf to get off work. go home have/do dinner, then shower and usually bed around 10:30 - 11:00.

actually it isn't really that hard, its finding the time to actually do that is the hard part. i'm think that once i figure out the problem with my laptop i'll just start taking it with me everyday, and working on my programming while waiting for my GF.

My problem is that I have plenty of time, I just can't get myself to start doing it.
