@ chronoct: So, after reading through the posts, do you have any suggestions/ideas/thoughts on any of the ideas that were mentioned here (namely my ideas)? Which reminds me. If anyone wants to contribute ideas, games/characters that should have inclusion, or sprite/level/game data, it would be much appreciated. If the task wasn't so daunting, I might actually consider doing it. However, as a one man job, it's nearly impossible. Basically, I'm saying, if you think it's a good idea, and want to help, please do. I need it, if I'm ever going to get the ball rolling. Mouser X over and out. [EDIT] I'm in 12,000 BC! Zeal, here I come! (see post count) I've already offered my services if you need help and the offer will be open until such a time as i don't have any time left.

Well, like i said, any ideas you may have? Characters to include? A really good way to make contributions is to gather some of the data I'll need. Stuff I'll need is level data (pictures, layout, ect.). The one I'm going to have the hardest time with is either going to be levels from Sonic, or levels from Super Metroid (since this is SNES based). Basically, take your pick, and start making screenshots of the levels as you play through them, until you can paste all your screenshots together to create the entire level. Either that, or create a movie file (using the ZSNES movie format) of you completeing a level, and send me the file (and the ROM, since I can't garantee that the copy I have will run the movie file just right)(and no, this IS NOT ROM REQUESTING, as I could EASILY get it myself, just not necessarily the same version number as the one you have), and I could take the screenshots, and paste it all together.
That's probably the prefered method, since with the movie file, I can still remove sprites, background objects, and foreground objects, so that I can more easily remove the stuff that might get in the way of completing the level data.
Anyway, thanks for your offer. When I get some more free time, perhaps I try this out myself (though I'll probably start on Zelda 3, or something). Mouser X over and out.

The annoying thing about this, is that I have a list somewhere of the games I wanted to use. Unfortunatly, I don't have access to it right now, and even if I did, I can't be sure I can find it. Chances are, I'd have to start from scratch (for ideas of what games I want).
Breif list: Megaman X, or Megaman 7; Super Metroid; Super Mario World; Zelda 3: LttP; Final Fantasy 6 (though, because that game is so big, it will probably have limited inclusion); and either Sonic 1, 2, or 3 (I'm not sure which one, probably Sonic 3).
The games I would have the hardest time gathering data from would be, in order of difficulty first, Super Metroid, Sonic, and Megaman X, or MM7.
I have MMX and MM7, LttP, SMW, and FF6. I might have the Sonic games, but I'm not sure. I don't have Super Metroid. That should answer all the questions you had. Hopefully, you can help me gather the stuff I need, that I don't have. Thanks again for you offer of help, and thanks in advance for you help. Good luck. Mouser X over and out.

There's only 1 Super Metroid. Metroid 1 is called Metroid. Metroid 2 is on the GB, and I don't remember its name. Metroid 3 is called Super Metroid for the Super Nintendo. Metroid 4 is called Metroid: Fusion for the GBA. Metroid Prime and Prime 2 are apparently not part of the main metroid line of games.
So in answer to your question, the Super Metroid I want is the only one there is, which is for the SNES. In all honesty, some of these games/characters are included because of their popularity (metroid being a prime example, no pun intended).
In other words, if I included ONLY the characters/games I wanted, it would be MMX (or MM7), Zelda 3: LttP, and Sonic (since, really, his games, or at least his character, are quite good). FF is only included because it's the only game I can think of that has a top-down view, like Zelda's, that's any good (or would fit the gameplay of the game), unless you have some other ideas I could include?
Mario is included because, hey, it's Mario! He's huge in the game area. He has to be included!. FF I stated above. Metroid is included because it offers a popular character that also provides a good complement to MM (or X). The reason I'm using Super Metroid is because it's the only Metroid game on the SNES (of course, winning the number one slot in a list "Top 100 games of the last 20/30 years" helps in that choice a little)(See the EGM issue from late 2002).
Well, I suppose that should probably provide you with what you seek... Goodluck in your endevours, if you decide to help out. Also, be it noted that you are more than welcome to use hints, tricks, savestates, and cheats to accomplish your goal (as it might be rather tough, otherwise). Of course, such action is up to you, if you do indeed want to play through the game yourself.
Okay, and there's my lengthy reply to your short question. Mouser X over and out.

Yes that does answer my question thanx. before I actually play through the game thought, I do know of some other sites that have alot of resources for a bunch of different games, so I'll take a look at those first and if i cannot find what I'm looking for then I guess that I'll have to play through the games, and just use some sort of program that takes screenshoots every few seconds or so.
