I would just like to voice my support for this project. You are seeking to do something massive that the fans of this fantastic game will really appreciate. I don't know why Square has never endeavoured to make a propper sequel to chrono trigger, and it is unfortunate that they keep on shutting down fan projects to do the same. CTResurrection looked so beautifully promising. I can only hope that your team has the capability to produce as beautiful an homage to the game that inspired us all.
I sincerely hope that the lack of traffic on these boards and lack of updates to the main site are real indications that this project has fizzled and died. The optimist in me is holding out hope that you are all working busily away, quietly under the radar.
Additionally, I am not sure how well staffed you are but, being a copywriter by trade and an amature graphic designer, I would like to offer your team my writing/editing services, should you think of a situation that may require them.
Best of luck to you. Know that there are a great many more fans out there than you may think. Whether they know about your project or not, they all support you, and they are all individuals who will be elated to see this project come to fruition.

I'm disappointed that this has pretty much died - but thats expected. Fan based games need dedication to complete... its rare that they are ever completed. Most just get announced and get some screens out then vanish.

Just to add my 2 cents. DarkHawk is correct. They've been working on this (off and on) since 2000 (I think sooner, but it wasn't announced until 200 or so). While there may be very little activity, I wouldn't equate that to this project dieing. This has happened more than once, and they keep on trucking. As for fizzling, that's what they do best. Mouser X over and out.

Well, most of us have been kept busy with school, life (namely the ways it goes wrong), etc, so we're hardly getting as much done as we'd like. I, for instance, despite committing myself to patrolling these boards, have been absent for the whole semester! However, even though I've been neglecting the boards, I haven't been neglecting my duties. Currently, the project stands at a crossroads and we have some hard decisions ahead of us. A lot of the things that we wanted to do and, I'm sure, you fans wanted to see, are turning out to be infeasible, due to lack of time and manpower. We may have to sacrifice some of the things we want in order to make UCT2 a reality, the question is what. Therefore, please forgive us if we can't keep some of the promises we've made in the past. As for myself, the constant and rapid growth in my writing abilities (whoo, that sounded arrogant!) has led to successive revisions of the UCT2 plot and script as I keep finding myself dissatisfied with the past results. However, I have faith that the most recent version will be the definitive, even though I've said that many times already. ;D This one is far tighter in structure and themes, opting to take things one-at-a-time instead of throwing a whole bunch of events for the player to sort out. Also, I needed to finally break away from some of the stuff my predecessors had left behind, striking a direction that's entirely my own and, at the same time, taking the opportunity to "put my money where my mouth is" concerning my complaints about recent RPGs. The basic plot is unchanged, but I've been putting some serious thought into the implementation. I've spent the majority of this Winter Break writing and making suggestions to my colleagues, not to mention putting a lot of thought into pushing this out the door in a reasonable timeframe. It's been a long road, but something will come of all this effort, and I promise that it'll be a quality product, whatever it is. Thank you for sticking with us, even when it seems like we've been ignoring you.

never thought that we were being ignored, just wondering if anyone besides myself and a few others even checked it out anymore. as always sending my best wishes and hope that everything goes great for those that are putting their effort and time into this project.

I do check it out occasionally. Though, life's changed since i was the 13 year old with as much free time as there is air in the world. Honestly i've even changed myself. I do like the projects, (No offense or anything, it's perfectly understandable) but these projects happen so slowly, so it does get discouraging after a while. Though I understand that everyone's got their own life to deal with. Is there no way to attract members? or is there just not a sizable enough community to get these boards full of life?

I think part of it is that the boards are for a site that's dedicated entirely to Project UCT2. Without much in the way of updates, nevermind a release with real information to discuss, it really comes down to a question of what to talk about. If it's just general Chrono stuff, then people would probably rather go to, say, the Chrono Compendium boards, where there is already a sizeable established community. In that respect, I guess it really isn't a surprise that there's little traffic on these boards.
Naturally, we hope to have things to get people excited about, soon enough. But, yeah, the lack of traffic kinda bothers us, too, even though we understand why.
