[Old post - See newer questions below] Will the HazardEngine be open source, or something else? What's it licensed under? Is there a repository for it, or is it just Chris that maintains it? I know that he's developing it for a class, or something, and that there might be some restrictions/conditions on how it's developed, I just want to know how it's gonna be handled if I'm able to help soon (if I don't get caught up in Summer School).

Nope, it's not open source. It's an in-house engine that Chris developed. As it is right now, it is essentially complete. However we need somebody to design the RPG-specific elements and extend it to our needs. Hopefully we can use that engine for a later commercial product.

Will the other programmers have access to the source? If not, how would it work for the programmer if there was a problem known to be within the engine? If it is to be maintained by Kenji, how would we pass a bugfix through? Is he going to actively maintain it?
[On a side note, my summer schedule's been building up even more...]

Access to the source will be restricted to the team itself. Kenji has nothing to do with the programming aspect of UCT2; he's the storywriter.
